Introduction
In Pursuit is a magazine by Studio Kalakaar that spotlights artisans and their stories, acting as a bridge between makers and readers.
It combines research, opinion, and bold visuals to celebrate the richness and relevance of craft today, pushing back against a world where craft is too often treated as lesser than fine art. As a core contributor, I worked across research, writing, editing, and layout to help bring the magazine's voice and design together.
All but one article was written entirely by the team, built from real conversations with artisans at Dilli Haat and the Delhi Crafts Museum, not desk research.

A Table of Contents Designed to Look Beyond Borders
The magazine's structure was very intentionally designed- organised into recurring sections like Features, Stances, Cultural Atlas, Photo Gallery, and Essays.
While the foundation stays rooted in Indian craft, we also make space for international perspectives by including a feature on a foreign craft- in this issue, a piece on the work of Palestinian women.
My Contributions
Every article went through my hands for editing, rewriting, and refining to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency in tone. I helped conduct and solely transcribed our interviews with the artisans.

Beyond content, I led the editorial review of the entire layout, ensuring that every spread felt cohesive and visually aligned with our theme, which also included refining alignment, text rags, and an overall polish to bring the final spreads together into one cohesive whole.
